Uncle Bob’s Desert Racing Photos

race4small

Bob Lewis was a frequent competitor in the southwest desert racing circle in the 70’s and early 80’s. In fact, he was the first off road racer to use KC Daylighters! Below are some of the photos found on this page along with a few others that I have found around the internet. If you have any comments or photos that you would like to see added, please comment below or email me.

Great photos and I knew Bob back in the late 70s and up until I moved away in 86. I lived in Valencia, Ca and Bob helped me with my 1970 Class 3 Bronco, which I raced from 1979 to 1986 on a limited race schedule and budget. I still have my Bronco and take it to car shows.

I don’t have any photos to offer…..but over the years I have followed Bob and his achievements and have FOND memories of Bob Lewis and his family in the 1960’s. Bob and I worked together at the Southern California Gas Company in the San Fernando Valley. I would like to reconnect with Bob and Claudia and their family after all these years. If anyone can assist me, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you
