Im the guy that did the pinstriping on this truck, in Phoenix AZ. Early 80’s the Allison backfired and blew the home-made intake apart, with one large piece sailing into the crowd,narrowly missing several people’s heads as it spun by. I striped it in front of a very large crowd no charge to Jeff,never even got a poster,if anyone sells them ,I’d love to have one.

The intake split open after it back fired but never went into the strands. I own the truck and this is what the driver Glen Coleman told me on the phone the night of the show.
Glen Coleman was my dad’s cousin. Was he a regular driver of this machine? I know he worked with them.
