1956 Fiat Campagnola 4×4 For Sale

fiat 4x4
I will be honest with you. I have never heard of a Fiat Campagnola, never mind seen one for sale in the USA. The owner of this 1956 Fiat Campagnola believes that this may be the only one in existance in the USA and I have no reason to doubt him. The ad, which is on Craigslist, also states that is in very good shape and has very little rust. It does not have a soft top, but does have the factory soft top bows to make one. Have you ever heard of a Cmpagnola or seen one in person? Via Bring A Trailer…

Wes,
Having italian cars and a 77 bronco. all the italian car companies made jeeps of some sort for the military. That fiat is pretty sweet, hope you have a machine shop to make parts.

look up Alfa romeo 4×4 and you will see some pretty cool stuff mostly all powered by 2 litre dual head cam motors

Thanks for this site, it is really cool

Thanks for the comments Stuart. I love the early Broncos, but the novelty of foreign built cars is pretty awesome, like the Mitsubishi CJ-3B rigs with the diesel.

This is a civilian model that featured small front lights,position/turning lights in one assembly on fenders, sunken round side turning light near doors.
Factory name was Fiat 1101A,powered either by gasoline and Diesel engines.
She was a sturdy vehicle,4F1Rx2 transmission whith sincromesh on 2’3′ 4′ gear,IFS,RRS whit manual locking differential, tilting rear tailgate, eight seats.
Take a closer attention to engine oil cooler thermostat,it is normally locked and doesn’t acts properly.
Take a look also un front shake absorber and coil spring that are inclosed in one only group, the upper rubber cone must no touch upper side of the body for smooth ride.
In Italy there are some entusiast and clubs for this model,Fiat doesn’t supply any kind of spares.
Beware of subsequent model “Nuova Campagnola”1107A/D from the 70′-90′:this is the whorse model built either in civilian and military types.Never buy one!
