We came across this 1966 Jeep CJ6 for sale in Austin, Texas on EWillys.com. It is hard to tell because of the small photos, but it looks to be in pretty good shape. I am kind of curious about the spring assisted seats, though.

Here is a neat 1956 M170 Jeep fire truck for sale on Ebay, via Ewillys.com As per the owner,

Wow! That is all I could say when I heard that Mike Boyink was selling his 1964 Jeep CJ6 and Bantam trailer. I have known Mike through the internet world for a number of years and have watched him build his CJ-6 into what I would call the perfect 6…upgraded where needed, but still retaining the vintage look and feel. As you can see on his for sale post , the CJ6 and trailer are a great buy! I just wish I had the extra cash right now! You lovers of the CJ-6 will appreciate his very well known CJ6 blog, which is full of photos and information that you will not find elsewhere. Via Ewillys.com

You may recall our previous articles on the 1959-61 and 1965 Jeep lineups at Allpar.com . Now we are going to look at the 1975-1976 Jeep vehicles. By far the biggest change was the introduction of the CJ-7 in 1976, which had a 20″ longer wheelbase than the CJ-5. This allowed for a better ride, easier access, and more storage room.



For the Cherokee and Wagoneer, the biggest change was the mid 1975 release of the Cherokee Chief. The Chief came with larger “off road” tires, flared fenders, and 3.54 gears, among other upgrades. Both the Wagoneer and Cherokee came with an upgraded frame and suspension in 1976, as did the pickup. A while ago, we covered an article that the guys at All-Par wrote about the 1959-1961 Jeep model line. Here is their coverage of the 1965 models. They cover all aspects of the Jeep brand, which was owned by Kaiser at the time. The univeral models, CJ-5 and CJ-6 were available with the high end Tuxedo Park versions. They also cover the Gladiator pickup, Wagoneer, DJ (mail Jeep) and even the Fleetvan.
