What an awesome photo of a beautiful 1969 Jeep Wagoneer!

Jeep had originally dated this photo as 1964, but as commentors noted on the Hemmings Blog, it has to be around 1968 or 1969. That style market lights on the Wagoneers were not used until 1968. Perhaps even more interesting to me is the weird marker lights on the CJ-5 Jeep. Was it built for foreign export?

It is so nice to see a woody Jeep Grand Wagoneer in the dirt! Most of the woodies never saw a speck of dust!

Although I have not mentioned them until now, I have known for years that the International Full Size Jeep Association is one of the best sources of information for the Jeep truck, Cherokee and Wagoneer. They have a great forum as well as a tech library. Definatly worth checking out!

The short course races in the 70′s and 80′s at Riverside Raceway is one of the big races that I really wish I was able to watch. Some of the best off road racing action of the era! Here is a few photos for you that I found on Race Dezert.

As I sit here writing this on a Friday afternoon, I can hear the lake calling me. It makes it worse when I see these photos of Willys trucks with canoes and their owners heading off to the lake. The photos (stolen from this thread on the North American XJ Association) are sure to bring back some great memories for our readers!

A while ago, we covered an article that the guys at All-Par wrote about the 1959-1961 Jeep model line. Here is their coverage of the 1965 models. They cover all aspects of the Jeep brand, which was owned by Kaiser at the time. The univeral models, CJ-5 and CJ-6 were available with the high end Tuxedo Park versions. They also cover the Gladiator pickup, Wagoneer, DJ (mail Jeep) and even the Fleetvan.
