Almost a month ago we did an article on the Vic Hickey 1969 Chevrolet race truck owned by Ron Johnson. At that time, we promised your more photos and here they are! Cliff Coleman is one of the original drivers and will be driving the race truck once again in the upcoming NORRA Mexican 1000 that we reported about in this article. Other than standard race prep, new tires and window nets, the truck will be driven in unrestored condition! It will even be wearing the same paint that it wore on it’s last race in the early 70′s! Owner Ron Johnson will be driving the Hickey built James Garner “Goodyear Grabber” Olds 442 that he is currently restoring.
