I am the owner of a CJ5 fire truck that is presently being restored.
The only thing left to really do is to equip it with brush tools etc.
I started my own club called VINTAGE FIRE TRUCKS band the site is fourth comming. If you would like to come on board, please e-mail me and I will send you the details.
I am a retired FGC Captain, past president for 12 years and original person who started the Firefighters Museum Society in CALGARY ALBERTA CANADA. I enjoy seeing other jeeps in the fire fighting feild as they are very few in Canada..
Your featured jeep looks great. Nice job guys , and keep up the great work.
As once said ” A man without a past has no future” and that applies to we that enjoy the history of fire fighting.
Hope to hear from you.
Yours truly Captain Frank Silliker FGC (retired)
Frank,
Glad to have you on the site! How did you hear about Off Road Action? I will send you an email for more information!
Will looking around at different sites, I came accross yours, seen the jeep and was impressed. I am always looking at different fire related sites for info as well as the interest in antique fire apparatus.
