The short course races in the 70′s and 80′s at Riverside Raceway is one of the big races that I really wish I was able to watch. Some of the best off road racing action of the era! Here is a few photos for you that I found on Race Dezert.

I attended one race at riverside raceway in 1970 If I recall, it was Roger Mears
that won the buggy feature that day

Riverside is one race I would have loved to see! I know that Roger and Rick used to clean house in the Buggies, but I would have liked to see Roger, Rod Hall, and other go at it in the trucks!
I USE TO WORK IN THE INFIELD AS A FLAGGER FOR SCORE IT WAS FUN
