I recently came across this article on Off Road.com about the history of the 4wd Suzuki lineup. It brought back memories of my friends early 80′s Suzuki truck…the body style was before the Samurai. It was never available in the states, but was around in Canada. Then the Samurai was introduced, which of course soon had a cult following in the states.

want a light weight 4×4 to drive into 5th wheel toy hauler. Considering the samurai because jeep is too heavy for toy hauler ramp/door, max 3000 lbs. Want 4×4 for trail riding, but also want street legal in CA. Want removable hard top with A/C. Concerned about availability of parts for vehicle that hasn’t been produced for a long time. please give opinions and/or altrnatives.
The Suzuki is a great choice. Have you thought about the Sidekick? They area great vehicle as well and there seems to be more replacement parts for them. Either way, you cannot go wrong.
Hey, can you tell me all the specs of the suzuki samurai. The more the better. I absolutely love it, and would like to build one as close to that as possible one day. thank you.
