Ron sent me an email about the rider in the back of the truck photo above:

“The photo of the guy in the back of my truck was Dave Ekins the Brother of The late Bud Ekins, Daves motorcycle broke down and he was getting a ride with a new part back to his bike.”

For those of you that do not know Bud Ekins, he was the founder of the Baja 1000 and drove a lot of Hickey’s race vehicles.
