Members of Race Dezert have been posting old photos of desert racing in the VORRA series from the 80’s and early 90’s. The thread has all kinds of great shots of Broncos, Dodge 4×4 trucks and a few buggies. Click on the photos to view them larger.

The VORRA photos of the white Ramcharger SE towing the Dodge pick up #403, do you have any info on who that driver is and where he is from, ect.? I believe I may have that truck in my posession right now. I bought it in Yerrington over a year ago and the guy said it use to be a racer from the 80’s. Looking at photo everything matches exact except grille that was replaced. Any info would be a great help for me to pinpoint its past. Thank you.
Steven,
I asked Troy Robinson about this. His dad Ed started VORRA. His reply: Kent Bullock was the dad. His kid is on http://www.race-dezert.com under bullock1 I think. He has a cl 8 he’s building and has a build thread. Can also contact Samco fab as they are buddies.
I hope that helps.
Steven,
Zane Bullock here. I tracked down my dads old truck a few years ago and it was in New York State being used in short course racing, I wish the truck you found was my dads as I would like to purchase it back unfortunately the truck now is nothing of it former glory.
