Do you remember the Funco tandem off road race buggies from the late 70’s and early 80’s? This Funco desert racing buggy for sale on Race Dezert is the infamous Patrick & Bowers buggy that won the Score 1980 Class 2 championship. It has won such races as the Mint 400 and Baja 500. If being a tandem buggy is not enough, it has the typical 80’s parts like yellow Bilstein shocks, Cibie lights and a windshield. I am not sure I would like to be the passenger in this one…what do you think?
I know who purchased this car. It is being resorted and raced in the SADR Cholla 250 race in Puerto Penasco Mexico on Sept 21st. It is an all girl team racing the car. Might even make the MORE “Save The Tatas” race in October.
you go girls…
Good luck to you..

Hey, you made it look really good. The “back seat” was actually the best ride.
My wife, and Mike’s wife rode with us a few races.
I enjoyed seeing the “Frog” again. I figured it was junk by now.

Hey Phil,
Do you remember who you sold this car to after you raced it? I’m looking at another tandem in Arizona and trying to sort out some history that may be confused with your car.
Thanks,

It was Mike’s car, I don’t remember who he sold it to. I was driving a 1-2 1600 car a lot then. I don’t remember how many tandems were built but there weren’t very many.
You can contact Mike at mp40mile@aol.com
Good Luck
