All right readers, we need your help. A fellow reader has sent us this photo of a unique military vehicle that a friend of his owns. The markings are all foreign to them. Since we have readers from all over the world, we are hoping that some of you recognize it. What the heck is it?
Emblems on the grille look like Steyr Puch, famous off road vehicle and four wheel drive engeneering factory in Austria.
Vehicle seems to be a Pinzgauer or an updated version of Haflinger.
Thanks Paolo. We talked about it a bit on our Facebook page and decided it was a Pinzgauer. I meant to update this post.
Pinzgauer is just the name of the Truck, The make and Model is a Volvo C303, And i am looking to buy if interested….?
the make is austrian
whetter it is Steyr-Puch ( brand name )
and the model is Pinzgauer model 710 ( 2 axle )
(712 is 3 Axle)
Widely used by austrian army and in samller numbers by austrian fire brigades ( KLFA ) newer models, like this one ( bonnet ) are also used by the Brtish army. smaller look-alike ( earlier model?) is called Haflinger.
I think that Volvo never built this kind of vehicles under Steyr/Puch licence, but all is possible.
