The Toyota FJ55 Land Cruiser was produced from 1968 – 1979. The most desirable is the 1979 model but only 250 of them were imported to the US. Out of the 250, 50 of them had factory power steering and A/C and this FJ55 is one of them. The crew over at TLC restored this FJ55 in 1997 and it only has 9381 miles since restoration with 110k total miles. Their stage 3 restoration covers everything, drive train rebuild, electrical, interior, new paint, weatherstripping and more. Check it out on the TLC web site for more pictures and info.
At a hefty $75k price tag this is far from affordable for most people I know, but will be a great FJ55 for someone looking in that price range.
Did this sell at $75K? I have a ’79 FJ55 with 29,000 original miles that I may restore if the value is there.
Hi Randy, It’s not on the TLC site any more. You could go to their page from the link above and find their contact info to find out. Let us know if you do!
