The Austin Champ was a British Army vehicle made by the Austin Motor Company who was awarded the contract to produce 15,000 vehicles in the late 40’s. After seeing that it was to expensive to produce the Champ the contract was amended and only 11,000 of the 15,000 were produced. The Land Rover Defender eventually took place of the Champ in all roles.
The owner of this rare military vehicle says that everything is in working condition. It was a barn find in Europe and could be the only one in this condition in the US. There are two days left in the auction and you can see more details and photos here on eBay. We originally saw this posted on Bring a Trailer.
