The Sandmaster team was the winningest team in the 1970’s, with drivers Bobby Ferro, Gene Hirst, and Johnny Johnson (shown here in a photo with Scott McKenzie, the mechanical genius who ran the racing dept. of Sandmaster). Posing with one of his winning cars at Riverside is the organizational brains of Sandmaster, Don Arnett. Ferro is shown in the car after winning the ’74 SNORE 250.
Vintage photos are now available from Trackside Photo and whole collections of a particular driver or team. Visit Trackside Photo for details.
Hello My name is Suzanne. I am the partner of Dana Arnett last family member remaining of the Arnett family. I was wondering if you knew where I could get a copy and even pay for a copy of each of these photos listed on your page. I plan to put something together for dinner the last of the Arnett family.
The only memorabilia I have is the 64 baja that Don built for his wife. I bought it in LakeHughes in 1996. I still live in the area. It has the original built 1835 and built tranny. If you or anyone you know is interested shoot me an e mail. Thanks. 3500.00. Street legal
