This 1962 Land Rover 88 Series IIA was was up for auction at Bring-A-Trailer and the bidding ended at $8300 and reserve not met. Curious to see if this pops up again or maybe the seller and high bidder will make a deal.
This is a right-hand-drive Series IIA that was formerly a Fitted for Radio (FFR) example used by the UK Ministry of Defense. The truck has been in the Southwest since its importation to the US sometime prior to the mid-1990s and is described as a driving project. Power is supplied by a 2.25L four-cylinder gasoline engine mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox with overdrive and a dual-range transfer case. A civilian hard top and rear door have been added. The seller has owned the truck for two years and installed a new wiring harness and tires in March 2018. This Ex-MOD 88 is offered from New Mexico with removed parts, spares, and a clean New Mexico title. Click the link above to see more photos and info about this vintage Land Rover.
