Vintage 1960’s Tierra Del Sol Desert Safari Videos!

The Tierra Del Sol 4×4 Club Desert Safari rally started in 1967 and continues to this day! Below we have some awesome videos from the early years of the annual event, which takes place in the California desert. The Tierra Del Sol rally is easily one of the largest and most popular events in the southwest, if not for all of the USA. We hope that you enjoy the videos below. Watch them on full screen view if you can! It is really neat to see how much technology has changed over the years. Long gone are the days of manual steering, 3″ of wheel travel and bellbottoms. We are happy to see that the family aspect and friendships gained through four wheeling has not changed over the years. Not to mention bikini’s. What do you think of the videos? Do you have some old videos or photos that you would like to share?

Have You Seen The U13 1966-1968 Ford Bronco Roadster Website?

In 1966, Ford introduced the all new Ford Bronco. I am sure they never thought it would gain the mass cult following that came after. The Ford Bronco, which is often dubbed the “early Bronco”, was available with both hard and soft tops as well as the roadster. The door openings on a Roadster were usually filled with a fiberglass inserts as standard equipment giving that classic contoured sporty Roadster appearance. Dealer installed vinyl doors and a convertible top, available in black or white, were available. Hard doors were available as well with or without glass and frame, thus eliminating the inserts. they are commonly referred to as U13 models as the first digits in the VIN number are U13.

Mint Rust Free 1969 Ford Bronco For Sale

If you have been reading Off Road Action for a while, you know that I love early Ford Broncos. This 1969 Ford Bronco is another one that I would like to add to my collection of must haves. The Bronco is 90% original body work with no rust. The only part that has been repainted is the rear quarter panels because of the rocks that kicked up and killed the paint. The owner has done a lot of work and his attention to detail really shows through. I love the colour matched Line X interior and floor.
