Vintage Photos Of Willys Jeep Crossing Mexico River
My parents purchased a surplus GPW in 1963 for $500 and decided to take the jeep to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico in 1965. At that time the paved road stopped outside of Mazatlan so they towed the jeep there and then proceeded on. There is a large river (Ameca) just before PV that you had to cross, a bridge was not completed until 1966. The following sequence is a tribute to my parents zest for life and spirit of adventure.

1946 Willys CJ-2A Jeep With Buzz Saw Attatchment & Capstan Winch For Sale
This is a pretty neat Willys CJ-2A for sale. While the Jeep itself is interesting, I love the buzz saw attatchment! In the late 40’s and early 50’s, Willys marketed their Jeeps to the ranchers and other customers that could use the Willys for more than backroad adventures.
1946 Willys CJ2A in original almost rustfree condition, there is slight surface rust on the under body and one spot of rust on a hat channel at one of the mounting bolts.
