Vintage Rides at the 2013 King of the Hammers

While I was out filming at the 2013 King of the Hammers event in Johnson Valley, CA I came across many great looking vintage off road vehicles. Check out this photo gallery of the ones I saw sitting in the pits and on the race course.

1970’s Mint 400 Desert Race

This is a great shot from a late 1970’s Mint 400 desert race.  All of the race vehicles lined up during the parade down the street in Las Vegas Nevada! Thanks to Jeff from UPR for the picture.

1964 Willys Wagon For Sale

Check out this great looking 1964 Willys Wagon for sale. It has custom coil-over suspension, locker, 5.3 Vortec engine. Update: we no longer have info or a working link for this Willys and don’t know if it is still for sale.

Land Rover Dormobile Camper Conversion

I love this Land Rover Camper conversion. Regular readers will recall our articles about Bronco’s and Blazers with pop top campers, but this is our first photo of a Land Rover. The photo above is of a Dormobiles conversion designed by the Martin Walter Company of Folkestone, Kent, England. Most were built from 1958 through the early mid 1970’s.
