1970 Meyers Manx

The Meyers Manx has a long history spanning back to 1964 when Bruce Meyers created the very first Manx, “Old Red”. Not long after it became the prototype for a series of car kits that could be applied to a slightly shortened chassis of VW bugs. In 1967 Bruce beat the motorcycle record for the Baja 1000 in Old Red by over 5 hours. A week later it was featured on the cover of Car and Driver and shortly after Bruce received 350 orders for the Manx.  Since then the Meyers Manx has become one of the most iconic dune buggies worldwide.

This Meyers Manx in the photos below carries registry authentication #279. The car sold on Bring-A-Trailer for $42,250 back in June 2023. It’s powered by a modified 1,776cc air-cooled flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle.  Be sure to check out more photos and info on this great looking Meyers Manx on the BAT website.
